Ancestry Library Edition:

A great resource to research your ancestors. Please be aware that this site can only be accessed from the White Cloud Community Library.

Birth Calculator: 

Use this web resource to determine your ancestor's date of birth. Enter in the known date of death as well as age upon death and receive the calculated birth date.

Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System:

The Names Index Project (NIP) is working to put the names and basic facts from 5.4 million general index cards in the Compiled Military Service Records at the National Archives online. If you have a Civil War soldier ancestor, this is the fastest way to check for information!

Castle Garden:

Castle Garden is an educational project of the Battery Conservancy. This free site offers access to an extraordinary database of over 11 million immigrants from 1820 through 1892, the year Ellis Island was opened. Over 100 million Americans can trace their ancestors to this period of immigration. 

 Family Search from the Church of Latter Day Saints:

This is a great and easy way to search by surname.

German Roots: 

In addition to being a terrific starting point for pursuing your German ancestors, this handy site includes lists of links to I.S. military records and death records of interest to all genealogists. 

Heritage Quest: 

Heritage Quest Online combines digital, searchable images of U.S. federal census records with the digitized version
