Gift Policy

The White Cloud Community Library Board accepts donations of books and other items useful in the library with the following understanding:

Materials will be added to the library collections at the discretion of the librarian following the guidelines established by the Library Board.

Items not added to the library collection may be given to another library, offered for sale - in accordance with Library policies - or destroyed.

Acceptance of items is not a guarantee the item will be kept by the library.

Once items are donated to the library, they become the property of the library and are subject to the same regulations as other library property.

A donation of books (items) allows the donor to receive a statement for tax purposes, with the donor deciding the value at his discretion.
