June 13 - 17, 2011!

We have a lot of things going on at the library next week! Our children and teen summer reading programs start on Monday, we're sponsoring a week-long Scholastic BOGO Book Fair, and our largest used book sale of the year will be held on the front lawn on Friday (June 17th) for White Cloud's Homecoming Festival! 

You can sign your children up for the reading program anytime between June 13 and July 16, 2011. The earlier you sign up, the more prizes you will earn! You DO NOT have to be at the library every day in order for your children to participate. Your reading can be done anywhere -- at home, in the car, on the beach! All you have to do is bring your child's reading log back to the library once a week to pick up their prize! Of course, we do have a ton of great events going on all summer so feel free to check those out as well! Check out the link below for a list of dates and times plus descriptions of all programs!

 Special Programs

One of our annual events is our Buy One Get One FREE Scholastic Book Fair! EVERYTHING in the room will be BOGO! We're pretty sure that you won't find a better deal on brand-new books all year. We have books for the youngest kiddos all the way up to high school as well as a few select adult titles. Scholastic also sponsors a One For Books program which means that every dollar you donate gets tripled! The library is able to buy books directly from the Book Fair for our Youth Services Department AND every dollar donated goes to great organizations such as Toys for Tots. The Book Fair will run June 13 - 17, 2011:

We will also hold our annual Used Book Sale on the front lawn during White Cloud's Homecoming Festival. Come check out our assortment of used books (we have around 1,500 so far!) and take advantage of the great prices. We will be selling the books for $1.00 a plastic bag or $5.00 for a HUGE Friend's of the Library book bag -- and you get the bag for FREE! This is one day only so make sure to stop by between 9:00am - 4:00pm!
