Circulation Services and Materials Available

Our Circulation Department includes all adult books, magazines, audio books, downloadable audio books, music cd's, DVD's, videos, and cd-roms. We provide internet access, copy and fax services, special collections, legal forms (such as tax papers and divorce forms), and much more! The Circulation Department also offers an adult winter reading program. Please remember that library staff is not permitted to give legal, medical, or tax advice.

Youth Services

Our Youth Services Department is proud to offer programs and resources for children ages birth through high school! We implement many different programs during the year including Storytime, a specially-themed Summer Reading Program, Movie Mondays, and many others. We delight in finding new and unique reasons to create programming and are always looking for creative ideas. The Youth Services Department features many different levels of books from baby board books to mature teen novels. We have recently started a tween section for children in 5th through 8th grades and have many level readers for elementary children. We also offer children's AV materials such as music and books on CD.

Local History and Genealogy

Our Local History Department provides research help for the history of Newaygo County from it's formation to the present date as well as ancestry searches for those who resided in the county. Our Local History Librarian will provide programs for schools, scouts, and various other groups by appointment only. There are also genealogy classes offered periodically throughout the year. Please visit the Local History and Research tab for contact information and staff hours.

The library has a meeting room that is available for public, non-profit use. There is no charge to rent this space. Please call the library at 231-689-6631 if you would like more information or need to request a date.
